My colleagues have been experimenting with this simple remedy for a couple of weeks and seems to work well. If your children seem to cough at night, try rubbing some Vicks VapoRub on the sole of their feet. This may not be new to some but it has been an interesting finding in the office.
From Vicks website, they suggest rubbing it on the chest or throat to relief cough. But it seems to work better by rubbing on the sole. Happy trying!
