shopping craze part one!

Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

i’ve been wanting to watch Enchanted for a really really long time… and i had my wish come true last saturday hehehe…. i have this thing for all Disney movies and cartoons… somehow i just love all their songs, and story line too… every single one leaves you with a feel good feeling and the songs will keep singing in your head for a while :)

since last saturday we have been on a crazy shopping spree, not much of a help with those year end sales going on now too… total damage is quite an amazing sum, i hope the credit card bills get lost in mail!!!

we were at the gardens last weekend, where we were shopping for clothes, i ended up buying alot but not for myself!! gee apa lah… teruk right?

but i got a consolation Gelatissimo’s ice cream yummy!! we had three flavours, which was the hazelnut, caramel creme, and american chocolate… absolutely yummylicious!!

after walking on and on, i finally decided to buy two items that i would need during my feat to climb up mount kinabalu this june 2008!!

the coleman walking stick which is RM41 a good deal!

and the Deuter Traveller 60 for RM342, i checked through the web one unit normally is in the range of £95.00!!  :)  SOOOOO HAPPY… so whats so good about this bag? the harness and hip belt  can be quickly stowed away for convenience during transportation, so means i can nicely zip it up and i can also check this in, no need to lug it around eheheheh.

  • Vari-Quick harness adjustment system to fit all back lengths.
  • Breathable foam back and padded hip belt.
  • Aluminium frame transfers the load to the hip belt.
  • Large dividable main compartment has a bottom compartment with separate access.
  • Two grab handles and shoulder strap.
  • Compression straps.
  • Zip-off daypack, also serves as a front pocket. It has an organiser, zipped front pocket and removable sitting mat.

two dry fit tops and two shorts from Brooks for only RM50!! happy happy joy joy…

i have to concur with Nastasshea@Nesh on the service quality of Manhattan Fish Shop too… there were just too many of them hanging around the counter chatting rather than serving customers, the lady on our right accidentally poured water onto herself and it took quite a while for them to flag one person down to get them tissues, and when they did, they got the tissue and delivered to our table instead :S

anyway here are some pics of our lunch today..

Howl’s Moving Castle

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

i love cartoons by Hayao Miyazaki, and i have to thank Nicole my housemate in college who introduced me to his work… i started with “the grave of the fireflies” and “tortoro” and have been hooked ever since…

we bought this dvd a very very long time ago and i only watched it lately, but only managed to watch half of it as the disc was a little spoilt, anyhow thanks to youtube, i managed to find and watch the remaining bits of the movie…

its really touching, and i especially liked its theme song, Sekai no Yakusoku ~Jinsei no Merry-go-round or The Promise of the World: The Merry-go-round of Life

after dinner today, i went out to check on the pail of rainwater i was collecting to water my crystals as advised by Yuin Yuin… the air was so cool, the raindrops were so inviting, i decided to walk one round the house with the rain gently pelting my skin.. its really therapeutic it calmed my senses, its cold yet gentle, the smell of the rain lifted up my spirits.. i wish it could wash away all the bad things happening to me, take away everything, all the pain, all the sad memories, how i wish life is so simple eh?

Sekai no Yakusoku
The promise of the world

Description: -

Lyricist: TANIGAWA Shuntarou
Composer: KIMURA Yumi
Arranger: HISAISHI Joe
Vocalist: BAISHOU Chieko

Original / Romaji Lyrics English Translation

namida no oku ni yuragu hohoemi wa

the smile that waver inside tears
toki no hajime kara no sekai no yakusoku
is the promise of the world since the beginning of time

ima wa hitori demo futari no kinou kara
even if now u’re alone, from the yesterday when u were two
kyou wa umare kirameku
glittering today’s arisen
hajimete atta hi no you ni
as the day u met for the first time

omoide no uchi ni anata wa inai
u are not inside memories
soyokaze to natte hoho ni furetekuru
come as a gentle breeze to graze my cheek

komorebi no gogo no wakare no ato mo
even after parting in an afternoon, sunshine leaking through leaves
kesshite owaranai sekai no yakusoku
the promise of the world never dies

ima wa hitori demo ashita wa kagirinai
now u’re alone, but tomorrow’s limitless
anata ga oshietekureta
u taught me
yoru ni hisomu yasashisa
the gentleness hidden in the night

omoide no uchi ni anata wa inai
u are not inside memories
seseragi no uta ni kono sora no iro ni
u live forever into the melody of a brook,
hana no kaori ni itsumademo ikite
in the colour of this sky, in the fragrance of flowers

What makes Tamil/Hindi movie superior

Wednesday, August 29th, 2007

If you ever watched any Tamil or Hindi movies in the past, you could relate that nothing is impossible. Read some of the unbelievable scenes below and try to spot them in the future …

  1. In one of the fights, Rajanikanth is shot in the head. To everybody’s surprise, the bullet passes through his ears taking away the tumor along with it and he is cured! Long Live Rajanikanth!
  2. In another movie, Rajanikanth is confronted with 3 gangsters. Rajanikanth has a gun but unfortunately only one bullet and a knife. Guess, what he does? He throws the knife at the middle gangster & shoots the bullet towards the knife. The knife cuts the bullet into 2 pieces, which kills both the gangsters on each side of the middle gangster & the knife kills the middle one.
  3. Rajanikanth is chased by a gangster. Rajanikanth has a revolver but no bullets in it. Guess, what he does. Nah? not even in your remotest imaginations. He waits for the gangster to shoot. As soon as the gangster shoots, Rajanikanth opens the bullet compartment of his revolver and catches the bullet. Then, he closes the bullet compartment and fires his gun. Bang… the gangster dies…
  4. Happened to see another movie for one last time, and thought that at least one movie would follow the theory of physics. The whole movie goes fine and the patrons are happy that all in the world hasn’t changed. Oops, not so fast! The ‘climax’ finally arrives. Rajanikanth gets to know that the villain is on the other side of a very high wall. So high that Rajanikanth can’t jump even if he tries like one of those superman techniques that our heroes normally use. Rajanikanth has to desperately kill the villain because it’s the climax. Rajanikanth suddenly pulls two guns from his pockets. He throws one gun in the air and when the gun has reached above the height of the wall, he uses the second gun and shoots at the trigger of the first gun in the air. The first gun fires off and hits the villain and the villain is dead.

Unbelievable? Believe it … Ripley style
